It was bound to happen

I forgot to write about this, but this happened to me on Friday. I got hit by a car walking to work. It was a car’s driver side rear view mirror actually. The way I described it to Christine: plastic against solid rock, which do you think won? My arm, of course. It didn’t hurt. But there’s no sidewalks, and I have to walk on the road on the way to work, this was bound to happen.

Well, I'm speechless! Don't be doing your absent minded professor routine on these streets!

Hey there Eric!
Gotta admit it was rather exciting to read the first entry in a former student's blog involving him being hit in traffic! Nevertheless, you have one VERY interesting life going on right now! I am not at all surprised at the way you have chosen to immerse yourself in the culture and the people... and I am thankful you have the "iron stomach" for it as well.
When I travel, and I must admit I haven't been to anyplace NEAR as exotic as Mumbai, I make it a personal rule NOT to eat anything I can eat back in the States. I mean, why go someplace new and then seek to experience what's back at home? Never understood travelers who do that! So how long are you to be there? (Couldn't ferret that out from the reading I've done so far.)

Mr Staude and myself just returned from a trip to England, Wales, and Ireland. I loved Ireland the most and I loved the "wildness" of the countryside in Wales. It was a great way to begin the summer.

I am on blogger too... http://staudestuff.blogspot.com/ -
I am also on facebook... in case you're on there too. I was proud to hear you're a wine drinker.. we opened our winery officially this past November... Rolling Meadows Vineyards - you'll have to stop out for a tasting when you're back in Missouri!

Take care... I'll enjoy reading your adventures every now and again!
